Hello Everyone,
April is a pretty big month for one reason TWILIGHT! I hope you will all come out and watch one of Athens best events of the year. Bike racing is what got me into cycling and it still runs deep in my body. My employees race on the road and off road. We sponsor multiple race teams and we always will. Without bike racing the love of this sport would not be as strong. Women’s racing is on the rise and we love to see the growth.
Spring is here and so is great cycling weather! As we ramp up for a busy cycling season we wanted you to know that we have also ramped up our commitment to having all the products you need for the cycling season in stock. Inventory is still very challenging and there are still long lead times on key items. A little bit of planning on your part and ours will help us get you on that new bike faster!
Our service department is geared up and ready to handle those early season Tune Ups. Want to know how to do some of this stuff at home as well? Check out Joseph’s service tips in the newsletter. BikeAthens is also a great place to get your hands greasy, so go check out FYOB (Fix Your Own Bike) on Thursdays 6:00-8:30pm.
May is bicycle month, and we would like to help encourage everyone to ride more! I want to challenge everyone to try and ride to work at least once a week and then take a trip by bike outside of work when you would normally drive your car. That is only twice a week!
We are hosting our second 5 Points Fun Ride on Wednesday May 18th. We had a great ride in March with over 60 people. Spread the word. We want to get it to 100 people! As people who love riding bikes we need the rest of the community to see how fun it is so we can get more people riding. This will help our community to see the importance of having more safe places to walk, run, or ride is a great thing.
